I like to make cake balls and cake pops solely for the enjoyment factor.  I don’t make them for profit.  But, since I always have so many cake balls left over, I needed to do something with them.   So, in December 2010, I decided to make holiday themed cake balls and give them for donations which I gave to charity.  In one month, I raised $300 from cake ball donations which I donated to SafePlace – a local, battered women’s shelter.

I had so much fun in December with this little project that I decided to continue this for 2011.  I have made a personal goal  to raise $3,500 in 2011 for charities or good causes through cake ball donations and/or other means.

I signed up for the Hill Country Ride for AIDS on April 30th, 2011 to do the 70 mile bike ride.  I have already raised $1,000 through online donations, Visa gift card giveaway, cake ball donations, and photo session giveaways.

For March 2011, I will be giving cake balls for donations to benefit a family in Hutto, TX who are in the process of raising money to adopt an adorable little boy from Korea.  They have 30 days to raise $19,000!   Every little bit helps.   Meet YoSeb!   If you aren’t local and would like to just donate money, feel free to donate directly on the Meet YoSeb page!
